Variation of condition 1 (Approved Plans) of planning permission ref: 14/00343/VOC (Redevelopment of 2-16 (evens) Tinworth Street and 100-110 Vauxhall Walk to provide a mixed use scheme comprising a range of buildings up to 8-storeys in height; providing a 93 bedroom hotel (4,805sqm GIA), student accommodation and associated support facilities including 400 student bedrooms (13,158sqm GIA), a convenience retail store (338sqm GIA), a series of small business units (use class B1 – totalling 1,145sqm GIA), associated servicing area, new public realm, public realm improvements and disabled parking) Granted on 09/06/2014.
Minor material amendment is sought to reduce the student accommodation from 400 rooms to 378 rooms; removal of the retail unit at ground floor level; increase of 1,306sqm of office (B1) floor space; 9 additional residential units (which would replace the removed affordable housing for Westminster Tower on completion of that redevelopment) and alterations to the overall scale and external appearance of the building known as Block D within the Spring Mews development.
The variation of condition 2 would seek to allow the following minor material amendments to the approved scheme:
– Reduce the student accommodation from 400 rooms to 378 rooms;
– Increase of 1,306sqm of office (B1) floor space;
– 9 additional residential units;
– Extensions and alterations to the Block D site, extending the building by 3 storeys; and
– Together with minor alterations to the layouts.
Deed of variation to the s106 for the following:
– Reduce the number of student rooms by 22, increase office accommodation by 1,306sqm and creation of 3 levels of residential accommodation above the approved block D building.
